450 Filipino Nurses Interested in Hull Royal Infirmary Jobs

About 450 Filipino nurses have expressed an interest in coming to Hull as part of an international recruitment drive to attract nurses to work at Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill.
Two senior managers from Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust have travelled to the Philippines to address staffing shortages highlighted by the CQC and highlight the benefits of living and working in the UK City of Culture.
And the trust is interviewing 154 student nurses from the University of Hull this month as part of its award-winning “Remarkable People, Extraordinary Place” recruitment campaign to ensure it has enough staff to keep patients safe.
Chief nurse Mike Wright said: “We’ve got really good feedback from the recruitment campaign and, in the Philippines, there has been a really good response.
