ALERT: Ebola Outbreak Spreading Faster Than Control Efforts

(Daily Mirror, August 3, 2014) – At least 729 people died in West Africa, 339 in Guinea, 223 in Sierra Leone, 156 in Liberia, and one in Nigeria. There has been a significant surge in the epidemic over the last few weeks.

All concerned recruitment agencies must coordinate with their OFWs in these areas and extend immediate assistance. Strict monitoring shall be implemented until control of the virus has been effected. POEA advisories must be strictly adhered to.
