Bello Awaits Go Signal to Go to Kuwait

Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III continued to wait for President Rodrigo Duterte’s go signal to proceed with his trip to Kuwait to negotiate better terms for Filipino migrant workers in the oil-rich Gulf state.

“He’s ready anytime,” said Raul Francia, head of the Department of Labor and Employment’s Information and Publication Service.

Bello had said he expected to be in Kuwait on May 7. —Tina G. Santos
