Beware: Blacklisted/Unaccredited Freight Forwarders of Balikbayan Boxes
Aside from worrying when your balikbayan box would reach your loved-ones because of the port congestion in Manila Harbor, overseas Filipino workers or OFWs should also be careful in choosing which freight forwarders would they entrust their package to be delivered to their families.
Earlier this month, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) released a list of freight forwarders that are blacklisted and unaccredited which are accompanied with pending admin case, with decisions, and those with cases already endorsed to the Department of Justice.
Below are the lists of blacklisted freight forwarders from DTI as of October 3, 2014 that OFWs should watch out for and avoid transacting business with concerning their balikbayan box:
