Two unemployed Pakistanis who posed as policemen denied abducting and raping a Filipina domestic helper and assaulting her companion in 2013.

In a report from UAE news site The National, the two men, aged 36 and 28, pleaded not guilty on charges of kidnapping, rape and impersonation lodged against them before the Dubai Criminal Court on Tuesday.

The Filipina narrated that she was at a party when she received a call from a male Indian friend asking her to meet up at Al Safa Park.

“I thought he wanted to return Dh1,500 (UAE dirhams) to me, so I went to meet him at the park. When we left around 5:30 p.m., we were stopped by the two men who told us they were CID (Criminal Investigation Department) officers. We begged them not to take us to the (police) station, but they forced us to get into a white van,” the Filipina told prosecutors.

The fake cops took the Filipina’s phone, Dh300 and the wallet of her friend.

The maid’s friend asked the two men to release them but he was attacked and then pushed out of the van.

Meanwhile, the Filipina was told by one of her captors that she would be released “if she pleasures him.”

“He told me to lie on the back seat. He then came and raped me, then the other man raped me,” the maid said.

The next hearing is set on June 21. IDL
