‘Filipina Maid for Hire’ Sexually Molested – Ethiopian, Sri Lankans and Egyptian Caught in Flesh Trading

KUWAIT CITY, June 21: Police are looking for an unidentified person for sexually molesting a Filipino housemaid, reports Al-Anba daily. The 31-year-old Filipina has filed a complaint with the Adan Police Station accusing her sponsor — an employee of the Ministry of Interior — of offering her to his friend who drove her to a desert and had sex with her against her will. When the sponsor was summoned for interrogation, he admitted to posting an advertisement in the social media that he was ‘offering’ his housemaid for housework. He added, the suspect visited him in his home, showed his civil ID and telephone number and said he wanted to try the maid for a couple of days, but instead he took her to an isolated spot in a desert and raped her, the source added.

Flesh-traders held: The Public Relations and Media Security Department has announced that the Farwaniya police raided an apartment in Rabiya and arrested an Ethiopian woman for indulging in flesh trade and two Egyptian pleasure seekers, says a press release issued by the Ministry of Interior. The press release added, securitymen have also arrested two Sri Lankan women on similar charges. The 5 arrested persons have been referred to the Criminal Investigations Department prior to their deportation from the country.

Illegal call services: The Hawally police recently raided 2 locations and arrested 2 Asians — a man and a woman — who were reported absconding, reports Al-Anba daily. They were caught for stealing telephone lines and offering illegal overseas call services. Police have confiscated from the couple computers and communication devices and referred them to the authorities to prepare their deportation from the country.

Cop abusing authority: Police have arrested a lance corporal working for the Farwaniya Emergency Police Department for abusing his authority and stealing KD 350 and 20 cell phones from various shops in the area, reports Al-Rai daily. The arrest came following complaints filed by the victims following which the suspect was put under surveillance before taking him in for interrogation. Initially the suspect tried in vain to fend off the charges against him, but when he was confronted with the evidences, he admitted to the charges filed against him. He has been handed over to the authorities.
