Filipina Wearing ‘Beret’ Arrested

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 3: A 1978-born Asian woman and a 1991- born Kuwaiti citizen who is a former officer of Ministry of Interior were arrested after a picture of the woman wearing the man’s official beret went viral on social media, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

According to sources, officials from Ministry of Interior were monitoring a social networking website when they came across a picture of a Filipina woman wearing a beret which is part of the uniform of an officer of Ministry of Interior.

Investigations were carried out which led to the discovery of the identity of the woman. She was arrested in Hawally area along with a Kuwaiti citizen, who confessed that he was an employee of Ministry of Interior but he was dismissed from work on March 31, 2015 due to his involvement in a criminal case, and the beret which the woman wore was his. He added that he allowed her to wear it just for the picture. Both were referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.
