HONG KONG 05 September 2018 – The Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong organized its annual blood donation drive with the Filipino Community dubbed “Dugong Alay Ng Pilipino Para Sa Hong Kong Red Cross,” at the Causeway Bay Donation Center on 19 August 2018.
Around 30 members of the Filipino Community participated in the one-day blood donation drive. All participants were subjected to the donation center’s standard health screening process, prior to donating either 350 or 450 ml of blood.
The Consulate General supervised the entire activity, and provided assistance to the donors.
The blood donation drive is held every year in commemoration of the Flag Day of the Hong Kong Red Cross, and the 66th anniversary of voluntary non-remunerated blood donation. END
