Pinoy’s Wife Killed in Hotel Robbery in California
CALIFORNIA – A female manager of Ambassador Inn Hotel was fatally shot during a robbery later Friday night while on duty.
She was identified as Michelle Chen. Her Filipino husband of 23-years, Armando Escandor, and their 11-year old daughter made an emotional plea on local news.
He explained that it was only the four of them living in the US while the rest of their family are in the Philippines and China.
The assailant, who was wearing a mask during the robbery, fled the scene of the crime in an unknown direction.
It is unknown if any property was taken.
The LA County Sheriff’s Department is now looking for leads.
