10-year-old Rakista Among PHL’s Bets on ‘Asia’s Got Talent’
A 10-year-old guitar-wielding female rocker is among the Philippines’ bet in the semifinal round of “Asia’s Got Talent.”
A report on “24 Oras” Monday said Gwyneth Dorado was able to impress the four judges, including Canadian Grammy Award-winning musician and record producer David Foster.
In an interview, Dorado said she was all nerves during her performance at the semifinals.
“Se semis po kinabahan po ako kasi po sa dami ng tao,” she said.

Dorado’s parents said she has been singing since she was three years old. They said “Asia’s Got Talent” was her first talent contest.
For Dorado, however, seeing Foster in person made joining the international contest worthwhile. In fact, she even got the noted hitmaker to sign her guitar.
“Sana po ay iboto niyo ako kasi po last day na po ito at sana po ay makapasok ako sa finals,” she said.
Aside from Dorado, acrobatic group Velasco Brothers also performed in the semifinals to represent the Philippines.
Meanwhile, two more Filipino bets — music major Gerphil Geraldine Flores and shadow play artists El Gamma Penumbra — are set to see action in the semifinals.
