A LOVE STORY: OFW Couple Meets for the First Time

Two overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) prove that love knows no bounds and distance.

Rhea Favila and Archie Gabinet managed to sustain their long distance relationship for more than two years and finally get the chance to meet for the first time.

Rhea works in Taiwan while Gabinete is in Japan.

After chatting online for 2 years and 3 months, the couple finally got the chance to see each other for the first time.

“After 2 years and 3 months the long wait is over, finally our first meet (up),” Rhea shared on her Facebook account.

“I still remember the day na una tayong nagkachat di ko maimagine na aabot tayo ng ganto, di ko rin lubos maisip na magtitiwala ako sa mga salitang ‘Hintayin mo ko ha,magkikita tayo. magtiwala ka lang saken,” she added.

These words according to Rhea became her source of strength to endure the loneliness abroad.

“Ikaw yung laging nandyan kahit chat at vcall lang ramdam ko na kasama kita lagi hanggang sa umabot tayo ng 2 years and 3 months ang bilis pala ng panahon no? So ito na binigyan na tayo ng pagkakataon ni Lord na halos araw araw kung hinihingi sa kanya,” Rhea said.

She also admitted that at first she thought feelings would change once they see each other in person, but she was proven wrong,

“Parehong pareho,yung mga salitang gusto kung marinig ng personal sinabi mo na.wala na akong mahihiling pa,magkakalayo man tayo ulit magiging inspirasyon natin ung ilang araw na magkasama tayo sa isang napakagandang bansa,” Rhea ended her post.

Archie flew all the way from Japan to Taiwan to finally fulfill his promise of seeing Rhea in person.
