DUBAI—As the date of execution of Filipina Mary Jane Veloso and eight others on death row in Indonesia draws closer, Indonesia has readied the coffins where bodies of the inmates will be placed in case their executions push through.
As shown from pictures in an article published at the online portal of Indonesian news network Jawa Pos National Network, several white caskets and crosses were being readied ahead of the implementation of the execution order for Veloso and the others.

Four wooden crosses were shown in a separate picture, one of which bears the name of the 30-year-old Filipina.
Veloso’s sister earlier said that the Indonesian government has set Veloso’s execution tomorrow, April 28.

The report, however, said that execution might take place on April 29, as also shown in the date written on the crosses—“29.04.2015” or April 29, 2015.
Veloso was jailed and sentenced to death penalty by firing squad after she was arrested in 2010 over a drug trafficking offense involving 2.6 kilograms of heroin found in her luggage.
