Filipino Make-Up Artist Touts Beauty of Airbrushing
ABU DHABI: If you want flawless make-up opt for airbrush says Filipino make-up artist Aaron Sam Dela Cruz who recently launched in the capital the use of this technique.
Airbrushing is a method of spraying foundation onto the skin using an airbrush tool or machine instead of applying it with sponge or traditional make-up brushes.
According to Sam, airbrush make-up provides flawless coverage by minimizing skin imperfection creating a beautifully natural looking result.
“Other advantages of airbrushing is it is water resistant and hypo-allergenic and suitable for all skin condition,” he said, adding that this method can make the make-up lasts up to 14 hours.
With 11 years of experience in the bridal and commercial advertisement makeup services, the 28-year old Abu Dhabi-base beauty practitioner is known for his natural, fresh and elegant look touch.
Sam told The Filipino Times that Airbrushing tool was already introduced and commonly used now by makeup artists in the Philippines. In the UAE, he aims to be one of the first Filipino makeup artists to use the service.
“It is exceptionally lightweight and most of my clients says that they feel that they aren`t wearing any makeup,” Sam said.
Last month, Sam held a photo exhibit with professional photographer Jay Alonzo and long gown creations by Abet Gavica.
Modelled by Abu Dhabi freelance models Princess Perlas, Genevieve Martinez and Zyla Marie, the Pinay beauties wears Sam`s Airbrush make-up collection.
“I used Glambox Airbrush makeup, highlighting luminous, fluoresce foundation with a touch of sliver, black, white, tangerine and gray eye shadows. I wanted to create a semi-Arabic look on Asian faces,” Sam added.
“Introducing airbrushing to my clients is my commitment to excellence. I need to keep updating myself with knowledge and tools in order for me to grow more in this field. I don’t care about investing too much on my tools because the satisfaction and recommendation of my customers are the best compensation of all,” he added.
