Alabael, Sarangani – Sarangani Governor Steve Solon led provincial officials in giving recognition to Arnel Corpuz, who was awarded “Bagong Bayani” by the Philippine Outstanding Overseas Filipino Workers. Corpuz, a native of Barangay Lebe, Kiamba received the citation from Solon together with Vice Gov. Jinkee Pacquiao and members of the provincial board who also passed a resolution commending the OFW for bringing honor to Sarangani province during the recent session of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan.“He (Corpuz) had made a great contribution in uplifting the lives of fellow Filipinos and Sarangans by helping them find good jobs in Australia,” Solon said. Corpuz together with Anthony Struss of the Cattle Council of Australia and proprietor of Havelock Property was welcomed by the local officials at the provincial capitol here. (Joseph Jubelag)
