MMDA to Provide Free Airport Shuttle Service during Christmas Holidays
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority will, starting Monday, begin offering airline passengers a free shuttle service to the Ninoy Aquino International Airport’s Terminals 2, 3, and 4.
The MMDA explained that the “MMDA Airport Christmas Shuttle” service will run until December 23, and was a traffic-mitigating measure.
“Instead of these passengers utilizing their own private cars or cabs to bring them to the airport, they can go as a group by availing of the free airport shuttle service we are providing,” MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino said.
Airline passengers have to show their airline tickets to avail of the service.
“We are targeting the travelers expected to go to the provinces to spend the holidays,” Tolentino added.
The MMDA will deploy six buses, including electric buses, for the service, with Baclaran and the SM Mall of Asia as pick-up points.
The MMDA had started similar shuttle services last week, with six major malls along Epifanio delos Santos Avenue as pick-up points.
