Netizens’ Witty Suggestions vs. ‘Tanim-Bala’

MANILA – While authorities investigate the ‘tanim-bala’ scam that continues to victimize departing passengers of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), netizens shared ways on how to look after their luggage.

Netizens expressed their thoughts and advice on the issue of ‘tanim bala‘ scam through social networking site, Facebook.

One Facebook video that has been shared many times shows a man pulling his luggage, about to leave for the Philippines. His friends noticed that a ‘CCTV’ camera was attached to it.

“Alam mo naman sa atin, brod eh, yung laglag bala matindi na eh!” the man explained to his friend in the video.

A laptop was also seen mounted on his luggage in order to immediately post on Facebook any illegal activities he may encounter at the airport.

“Paano brod? I post ko lang kapag may maglaglag bala dito ha? Pag makuhanan ng CCTV po-post ko sa Facebook,” he said.

Meanwhile, Francis Ickoh Dimafelix, an OFW in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia posted a photo of his luggage on his Facebook page.

‘Mocha Girls’ member Mary Mae de la Serna also posted on Facebook a video advice on how to properly secure your luggage.

Even veteran broadcaster Anthony Taberna joined in the ‘tanim-bala’ fray by posting a photo of himself carrying a big bullet with his name engraved on it.
