OFW Cleared of MERS-CoV
An Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) from Saudi Arabia who was quarantined at the Western Visayas Medical Center due to suspected Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV) has been officially cleared of the disease.
Tests showed the patient, a 59-year old construction supervisor, was negative for MERS-CoV.
The OFW arrived in Capiz on December 30 and brought to a hospital in Iloilo City on Sunday due to fever and coughing.
