OFWs in Iraq Urged to Use Online Alert System
MANILA – The Philippine Embassy in Iraq urged all Filipinos in the war- torn country to use its new OFW Online Registration System.
“Dahil sa sitwasyon ng seguridad sa Iraq, hinihikayat ang lahat ng Pilipino sa Iraq na mag-register,” the embassy said.
The embassy said OFWs need to input their contact numbers and other important details into the system.
“Ito ay gagamitin lamang sa pag-abiso sa mga panahon ng krisis o emergency,” the embassy said on its website.
Iraq remains under Alert Level 4 (mandatory repatriation) except for Kurdistan Region (Dohuk, Erbil, and Sulaimaniyah) which is under Alert Level 2.
