Over Half of Coronavirus Victims Recover
JEDDAH — The Ministry of Health reported that 55.5 percent of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome coronavirus patients have recovered so far. There were 977 patients, of whom 543 have been successfully treated. Only three new patients were admitted this week to hospitals in Makkah, Riyadh and Hail, compared to 31 around this time last year. An official source said while the figures were promising, the ministry remained cautious because the virus was easily contracted when precautions were not taken.
