PAL Launches Independence Day Special Promo

DUBAI: The Philippines’ national flag carrier has launched a special promo for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) planning to spend their annual Ramadan and Christmas breaksback home.

Customers may now book a roundtrip ticket to Manila from Abu Dhabi or Dubai for Dh1,338 for flights from July 1 to Dec. 10, 2016and from Dec 30, 2016 to March 31, 2017, said Genario “Bong” Velasquez, Philippine Airlines senior asst. vice president and regional manager for Europe and the Middle East.

The ticket sale promo, which also covers free 46 kilos of baggage, started June 3, 2016 and ends on June 15, 2016, according to Velasquez.

“We timed it with the Independence Day celebrations. We thought of giving something to our compatriots here in the UAE. It is a very good opportunity,” Velasquez told The Filipino Times.

He said feedback to the promotion has been “very good.”

“We have been receiving a lot of inquiries and demand. This is the best we have. Travellers can really plan for their trips,” he said.

The Philippine Airlines has been servicing the UAE route in November 2013 through PAL Express; PAL flights started on March 20, 2015.
