Pinay Receives Prestigious Distinction in Monaco

MANILA – Consul General Fortune Aleta-Ledesma of Monaco was awarded the distinction of Officer in the Order of St. Charles by Prince Albert II of Monaco.
The private ceremony was held last November 19, during the recently concluded Monaco National Day celebrations.
The Order of St. Charles is awarded in five classes to both citizens and foreigners for service to the state or for the sovereign prince.
This is not the first award that Aleta-Ledesma received from Prince Albert II. In 2008, she was awarded the distinction of Chevalier (Knight) by Prince Albert II.
The current Dean of the Consular Corps has been previously awarded Chevalier in the Ordre national du Merite (French National Order of Merit), a Decoration of Honour in Gold from Austria and the Medal of Honour by the Federation Internationale Des Corps Et Association Consulaires for her consular work in the Philippines.
