Philippines Ranks 57th in ‘Passport Power’

MANILA – The Philippines is ranked 57th in terms of the number of countries its passport holders can visit without visa, according to financial advisory firm Arton Capital.
The passport ranking was published in a report by Anna Swanson in the Washington Post.
Based on the ranking, Philippine passport holders have access to 61 countries without an advanced visa.
Some of the countries which Philippine passport holders can visit without visas are Myanmar, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Hong Kong.

The Philippines, meanwhile, allowed 157 countries to enter the country visa-free.
The Philippines holds the same rank on the “passport ranking” as with Nigeria, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Azerbaijan, Tunisia, Tanzania, Mali, Namibia and Zambia.
Topping the list of “most powerful passports” are the United States of America and the United Kingdom with access to 147 countries without an advanced visa.
France, South Korea and Germany are under passport power rank 2 with access to 145 countries without an advanced visa; Italy and Sweden in the third rank with access to 144 countries; Denmark, Singapore, Finland, Japan, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands in Rank 4 with 143 countries; and Switzerland in Rank 5 with 142 countries.
The Solomon Islands, Myanmar, South Sudan, Sao Tome and Principe and Palestinian Territories are ranked last at 80 with access to only 28 countries without an advanced visa.
