Pinoy Comatose in Dubai for Six Years
Officials from the Philippine Consulate in Dubai have made headway in their search for the family of Villamor Titco Carreos, a Filipino who has been in a coma at the Rashid Hospital for the last six years.
A report on Emirates 24/7 on Thursday said authorities have made significant breakthrough in locating Carreos’ kin in the Philippines and are currently “in negotiations.”
Carreos could not be discharged from Rashid Hospital until his family sends an acceptance letter from the hospital where he will be admitted to in the Philippines, the report said.
According to The Filipino Times, Carreos, a former labor supervisor, has listed a Pia Carreos as his daughter and a Lorie May Carreos as his niece.
It added that his last known address in the Philippines was 2304 Tramo Street cor. Protacio, Brgy. 112, Pasay City.
Carreos’ employer has sponsored the Filipino since he suffered an intra-cerebral hemorrhage in 2008.
He is one of the 21 long-staying patients at Rashid Hospital and is the longest staying patient there, according to a separate report on Gulf News.
